Graduated Salutatorian from Ralph J. Bunche High School and was awarded a college scholarship to Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.

Joined the U.S. Army after his Sophomore year. Completed three years of service and was Honorably Discharged on August 13, 1965, before returning to Texas Southern University.

Began his professional career with Harris County as Senior Auditor. Advanced to Allstate Insurance’s Management Development Program as Assistant Controller, then Dow Chemical USA across Cleveland, Ohio and San Diego, California.

Returned to Houston, married Shirley, and raised two children, LaTanya and Jared. Began building his distinguished public sector career following positions at Texas Southern University and the Houston Port Authority.

Rose to Executive Management with the City of Houston — a career of dedication that would span more than 20 years of distinguished public service to the citizens of Houston.

Retired from the City of Houston after 20+ years. As Founder of Jefferson Denniandrus Group, Inc., continued global consulting across the USA, Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Released Starman’s Business Guide — a culmination of 60 years of management, teaching, and business practice globally. A definitive reference for the next generation of leaders.
